Audio Science Review measured genuinely deep bass and smooth, wide horizontal dispersion, and recommended it outright at its price. That wide dispersion and easy load make it a good surround or small-room front pair.

Both the woofer and the horn tweeter aim toward the seats, which is exactly what an Atmos height channel installed in a fixed joist bay needs. Very high sensitivity means a mid-priced receiver's height channels will not run out of steam.

KEF's Uni-Q puts the tweeter in the center of the woofer so the whole speaker behaves as a point source with very wide, even coverage. That makes it forgiving of ceiling placement and gives overhead effects a seamless, hard-to-localize quality.
