Head to head
Perlisten X5w vs X3w
Perlisten's two larger on-wall speakers: the three-way X5w with four woofers against the two-way X3w. The deciding factor is screen size and room size, then budget.

Both are sealed on-wall speakers only about 4 inches deep, with the same waveguide tweeter and carbon fiber woofers, built to hang beside a wall-mounted TV. The X5w is a true three-way with four woofers in a cabinet about 29 inches tall; the X3w is a two-way with two woofers in a cabinet about 18 inches tall. The one question that decides it: how big is the screen, and how loud does the room need to play?

Pick the Perlisten X5w if
- The TV is 75 inches or larger, so a taller speaker looks in proportion beside it.
- The room is medium to large and you want the speakers to play loud without strain.
- You want a true three-way, with dedicated midrange drivers handling dialogue.
Pick the Perlisten X3w if
- The TV is 55 to 75 inches, or the wall space beside it is limited.
- The room is small to medium.
- You want an all-Perlisten front stage for less money.
Verdict
Buy the X5w for a large TV in a medium or large room; its three-way design, four woofers, and 3 dB higher sensitivity give it real headroom from an ordinary receiver. Buy the X3w for a mid-size TV or a smaller room, where it delivers the same tweeter and voicing in a cabinet that fits the wall better. Whichever you choose, both stop at 60 Hz, so plan on a subwoofer.
Common questions
- Can I mix the X5w and X3w?
- Yes. They share the same tweeter and woofer type, so an X5w left and right with an X3w center, or the other way round, keeps voices consistent across the front.
- Do I need a subwoofer?
- Yes. Both are specified down to 60 Hz, so a subwoofer should handle everything below about 80 Hz.
- Have they been reviewed?
- Not yet. The X Series is new for 2026, so the figures here are Perlisten's own until independent measurements are published.
