Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Home Theater Hub collects and how it is used. It is written in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

  • Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to our servers.
  • Newsletter signups: your email address and the time you signed up, stored on our hosting provider and used only to send the newsletter. Unsubscribe links are in every email, and you can ask us to remove your address at any time.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are read and which links are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell returning browsers apart and records events such as page views and clicks on retailer links, with IP addresses truncated by Google. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Neither is used to build a personal profile or to show you ads. You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker, and the site works the same either way.
  • Hosting logs: the site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) for a short period for security and reliability.
  • Affiliate links: when you click an outbound retailer link, the retailer may set cookies under its own policy to attribute a purchase to this site.
  • Advertising: if display advertising is enabled, the ad network may use cookies or similar identifiers under its own policy. We will update this page and add a consent notice where the law requires one before turning ads on.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not require an account to use anything on the site. We do not combine analytics with newsletter data.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your newsletter subscription and any associated data at any time by contacting us.
