A sealed 12 in with 300 W in a 16 in cube gives the low group delay of the SVS SB-1000 Pro with KEF's DSP doing the placement compensation, and the Soundnews review found bass that started and stopped with the music with no smear as the level rose. The three-position room EQ is the practical feature: pick Room, Wall, or Corner and the sub adjusts its own response instead of leaving that to the receiver. It is also the only sealed 12 in in this group with speaker-level inputs, which matters for two-channel systems without a sub out.
Watch out: The 22 Hz spec is +/-3 dB but the sealed box gives up real output below 25 Hz to the ported picks, and the Amazon listing is a third-party dealer with only a couple in stock.
