Pick the BenQ TK710 4K if
- Gaming is a main use and you want the lowest lag any home projector has measured.
- You never want to buy a lamp, and the mount can go close to the ideal position.
- You want the sharper, higher-contrast image from the larger 0.65-inch chip.
Pick the Epson Home Cinema if
- The projector has to sit on a rear shelf or off-center; the zoom and shift cover it.
- You want full color brightness for HDR highlights, which 3LCD delivers and single-chip DLP does not.

Buy the BenQ TK710 if gaming matters or you want a lamp-free projector; the 4 ms lag and laser source are the reasons it replaced the HT2060 as the catalog's entry pick. Buy the Epson Home Cinema 2350 if placement is the constraint, because the 1.6x zoom and wide vertical shift will fit rooms the BenQ cannot. - Only 10 percent vertical, which is enough to fine-tune but not to sit on a shelf well below the screen. The Epson's shift is about six times larger.
- Which has the longer light source?
- The BenQ's laser is rated for 20,000 hours. The Epson uses a UHE lamp that fades over a few thousand hours and needs replacing.
