Pick the Polk Audio Signature if

Verdict
Buy the SVS PB-2000 Pro if the room can take it; the extra amp, 16 Hz extension, and app EQ are the reasons it is the catalog's medium-room reference. Buy the Polk ES12 when the sub has to fit a tight spot or you want Amazon-fulfilled convenience, because it stays clean into the low 20s and HomeTheaterReview called it an excellent value. The exception is a room with a strong mode the receiver cannot fix, where the SVS's parametric EQ is worth the size.
